eat your goddamn greens!!!

well this week marks my first official week of vegetarianism!! woo hoo!! officially no more carcuss for this lil' guy!! and i must say, so far so good!

it's been a long time coming, i guess! for the past 6 months or so the only meat i've consumed has been chicken. chicken and i have had a long standing intimate relationship for the majority of my existence...but i knew it was time to say good bye!

i held on for a little too long i think, mainly due to a fear of not receiving enough protein in my diet thusly resulting in a loss of weight...and for someone of my calibur/genetic make-up, losing weight could be a tad bit disastrous!!

but alas, it got to the point where every time i took a bite my feelings of guilt grew stronger and stronger. i seriously couldn't do it anymore.

that's when i was introduced to my new boyfriend; mr. vegetarianism!! it's getting serious...i think i'm in love!!!!

my vegetarian starter kit arrived yesterday from goveg.com/peta.org and it's packed with wonderful trivia and random celebrity quotes explaining why they chose to go veg, not to mention the 6 pages of colorful vegetarian recipes/substitutes to the many many 'now considered evil' meaty meals to which we had become accustomed as newly-ex-carnivores!!

how excited am i to get cooking??? VERRRRRY!!! let's just say trips to the grocery store have a whole new meaning!!

AND, i've even found a meat-free alternative to my usual friday night indulgence of chicken fingers and fries!!

this little gay vegetarian is very happy!!

wish me luck!!

loves the becks

you know how much of a whore i can be for a hot pair of sunglasses...and well you know how much of a whore i can be for david beckham and anything beckham related...now put the two together in one juicy add for 'police eyewear' and i'm already coming in my chinos!!

does he get hotter as the days go by, or is it just me? it's funny the way i feel towards the becks; cause i wasn't totally thrown by him when he first appeared on the scene. i mean, he was built and adonis-like in his sporty little 'football' shorts, but i just didn't quite understand all the hoop-la.

and it wasn't until he jetsetted his way to superstardom as a hunky hunky tattooed, stylish, and metrosexual british icon that i got aboard the beckham train!! then he married posh spice, and we know how coo-coo i am for my spices...and started naming his kids all kinds of hot names (brooklyn, romeo, cruz...i'm even thinking of naming my next dog 'cruz').

i even had a david beckham hair cut, and not just the faux-hawk that he seems to have coined as his own, but when he had a BLONDE hawk...actually it was really just a blonde stripe painted down the center of my head...but i copied it off of david himself!!

all in all, he's def on my list of favourites!! and he definitely gets hotter with time! fatherhood hasn't made this man soft...

and how hot is the missus these days?? it's hard to believe that 3 kids popped outta that itsy bitsy figure!!

let's just say that they're going to have BEAUTIFUL babies...you know, when they grow up...

my internet boyfriend

this is shan parker. i came across his blog one day whilst perusing the internet, and have been reading it every day since! sometimes two or three times per day!!

i love it.

i sent him the link to my blog, and i'm now hoping he doesn't read it on a normal basis, cause if he sees this entry i'll be a little embaressed!!

but hell, he should be happy that i'm writing about him cause it's free press for his site!!

www.blurbology.com

check it out, i think you'll be impressed!! blog's are funny in this way; you can stumble across one that interests you and before you know it you start tuning in every day to learn the intimate details of the author's life! you can even start to read about their friends and start going to THEIR blog's!! it's a neverending cycle, i tell you!

i'm totally into shan and his blog!! it's like a soap that i can't turn off!! recently he got in a fight with his (other) boyfriend (ie the real one) and i felt myself caring about the outcome!!

how could this be? is it possible to get so caught up in a stranger's writings that you find yourself almost caring for them?!? too funny really!!

he's this wonderful boy from indianapolis, who works for somesort of computer webdesign company. i was originally drawn to his site by his witty réparté and comedic banters/rants about the world he lives in. he's just a simple lad, such as myself, trying to make it in this crazy place and bringing us all along for the ride!

that and he's hot!!

i wonder if there's someone out there who i don't know that reads MY blog and follows the vicarious things that i do religiously??

if you're out there...reveal yourself!!! i don't get nearly enough comments from my readers.

and fyi, even if you don't have a blog you can comment anonimously (but be sure to sign it...no one likes a tease!!)

da club

i've seen this logo more often lately than i care to admit. and why would i be staring into da club so much you ask? well the answer to that is the source of my frustration these days.

i felt the need to adress my obsession to my readers, mainly for the satisfaction of my own selfish needs...but hey, it's my blog and not yours so there!!

but also, cause he's been on my mind (not to mention my lips) a lot lately...and i'm figuring that maybe putting it on paper, er on computer will make it better. oh,well...here goes;

have you ever met/seen someone and had them affect you in such a manner where they're all you can think about, and you find yourself doing abnormal things just to get their attention, (like hanging out in the mall relentlessly on your lunch hour in hopes of seeing them or of having them see you) and you fool yourself into thinking that if you put yourself out there just a little bit more then maybe, just MAYBE, they'll magically fall in love with you and you'll live happily ever after!!!

it all started one friday afternoon when cm boy stepped into my office and asked about me to one of my co workers. i then started this dance in front of the store hoping to meet him. which of course didn't work. then one saturday night the introduction happened, and digits were exchanged, and one little blonde boy woke up with a ray of hope and excitement across his face.

BUT, to no avail the phone did not ring...nor did it the next day, or the day after that. however, each time i run into this beautiful character, flirts are made and kisses exchanged. even pictures are taken, and dances are had.

SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM????? this is why it's more frustrating than anything else. i think the reason i'm so hung up over this is that i feel that there's more to happen between him and i...and i keep doing this little dance because i'm trying to MAKE something happen.

but anyone who's ever tried to MAKE something happen, relationship wise, knows that it's impossible to force the stars to allign (in your favor) and make two people fall in love. it always happens when you least expect it, and when you're not looking for it.

i think i'm so crazy about it right now because, and i'm not trying to sound cocky or anything, but i don't normally go after something if i don't already think that it's within my reach. do you know what i mean? i'm not saying i don't take risks, but if i want something, i find a way to get it. in relationships and in life in general. if i want a rediculously expensive top, i find a way to buy it. no matter the cost, or repercussions on my credit limit!!

so what is there to do?? i can't stand just going out every week and TRYING relentlessly to force someone to fall for me...it's just not going to happen! and above all it's unhealthy...especially since i'm seeing someone ELSE!!

naughty, naughty, naughty...amanda, i think we're rubbing off on eachother a little too much!!!

*sigh*

it's hard being this bad...

33 things you may or may not know about me...

1. i'm a taurus, to the core through and through, stubborn, passionate, and loving!

2. i have 7 tattoos, and counting. i could totally look at tattoo's all day long...i think i may have missed my calling!

3. when i get home from work every day i get down on all fours and roll around with my dogs like a retard on the floor while making silly noises as they lick my face and go crazy!!

4. i can be much more quiet than i appear; during the week i love nothing more than coming home from work, going for a walk with my dogs, making a big dinner, doing my dishes, making a lunch, and sitting down with a big bowl of popcorn and watching sex and the city till it's time to go to bed. in other words, i'm quite boring from monday to thursday!

5. my friends are my life, and i couldn't do without them. it's as simple as that.

6. i always have music on in my apartment, from the second i wake up to the moment i go to bed.

7. i know the words to 99.9% of the songs played on c100 fm at any given day...no joke.

8. i eat pickles from the jar, and finish off a huge jar of vlasic zesty pickles about every week.

9. i eat a ginormous bowl of garlic laced popcorn all to myself, every night of the week.

10. the only bone i've ever broken was my nose, and it was when i went up a slide backwards (i was a kid, come on!!) and smashed into the metal bar at the top...ouch.

11. i got a seashell stuck in my foot while i was in florida and had to spend an arm and a leg having it removed at the hospital in orlando!!

12. i used to think that i would grow up and go to university in transylvania...i was a bit of a goth back then...imagine, eh?

13. the first guy i REMEMBER having sex with was the british surgeon/bodybuiler/dj- on-the-side in the parking garage outside reflections...classy, eh? there were some befor him, but i don't remember who they were...seriously...

14. i've drank enough booze, and done enough drugs to kill an army of twenty-something frat boys with roofie perscriptions on prom night at an all-girl catholic school...who are horny...and the girls are easy.

15. i stopped playing the saxophone because i didn't like the taste of 'wood' in my mouth...ironic, isn't it?

16. i'm absolutely, completely, 100%, TERRIFIED of snakes...i can't even look at a picture of one. i wouldn't ever hold one even for a million dollars...i'm not even joking.

17. i fear monotany.

18. i believe in love at first sight, yet have never experienced it.

19. my favorite thing to do when i get home on a friday evening after work is to stand up in my kitchen with the curtain open, eating pickles out of the jar, while perusing "the coast" and dreaming about the weekend ahead....and occasionally looking out the window and flashing the neighbors!

20. i'm in love with my sex toy.

21. i've been both a top and a bottom.

22. i'm probably the most paranoid person you'll ever meet. if you only knew the things i do when i'm alone out of sheer neuroses, or how many times a day i 'knock on wood' just to guarantee good karma!

23. i'm extremely superstitious. about everything. about how i go about my day, about seeing a black cat cross my path, about seeing a single crow fly by, about stepping on cracks in the sidewalk, about doing activities the EXACT SAME way every day to guarantee good luck...just to name a few.

24. i'm terrified about developing an obsessive compulsive disorder. i check the stove all the time to make sure it's turned off, check my doors to make sure they're locked at night all the time, make sure i don't leave the toaster plugged in when i leave the house in the morning so a fire doesn't break out, checking the door constantly to make sure i didn't leave my keys in it.

25. i sometimes allow things i can't control to bother me; like the weather etc. but i'm trying to let these things go, and not sweat the small stuff!

26. 25 was my scary age...however i'll come face to face with it in a few weeks.

27. i'm easy, in all ways possible; easy to please, easy to amuse, easy to lay, easy to impress, easy to entertain, easy to dazzle...you get the idea!

28. i have a deep and profound respect for this earth and everything on it, and everything natural it produces, and would never take something on it for granted.

29. i love alcohol...love, love, LOVE alcohol!! vodka to be more exact! i have a small fear of someday becoming an alcoholic, but try and keep my booze hound ways strictly reserved for the weekends. but come friday afternoon i can't help myself. but i figure i don't smoke anymore or do drugs, so one wee little crutch ain't so bad, right?

30. i used to be straight. i didn't actually come out till i was 19. and even then it was a gradual progression, like there wasn't a day when i 'CAME OUT' to everyone in my life. i've slept with girls before, and even dated a few. but deep down i always knew. i remember everytime i started seeing a new girl, i would become struck with this strange fear...i eventually came to the realization that this fear was one based on the fact that someday *soon* i might actually have to...gulp...sleep with her!!

31. i love extremes, and i live my life by them. i like extreme clothing, extreme hair styles, extreme trends...everything EXTREME!! the more wild and crazy the better! a conservative way of life, is a boring way of life!

32. i have a fear of ending up like my father.

33. i'm a hippy at heart. peace, love, and happiness...all the way baby!! i'm the love child of a hippy relationship who was conceived in jamaica...can't you tell?

uproar

recently my interest in PETA and it's fight against the seal hunt in canada has sparked a bit of controversy amongst my readers, and i now feel the need to strengthen my opinion and speak openly a little more about why i support their causes.

below is PETA's mission statement for a starter:

"People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than a million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment.

PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.

PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns."

so basically what this is saying is that this group is against ANY and ALL unethical treatment of animals, no matter how large, small, or unimportant the particular species of animal may appear.

many people have said that the seals that they're slaughtering on the ice are overpopulated, and that they're not killing the baby seals, and that they really play no useful role in the animal kingdom...so that makes it ok, right?

WRONG

in my opinion, (and from what i've read on PETA's site) it doesn't matter what role these animals play, or how important they are to us as a race, or how cute or cuddly they are...they're animals, and any mistreatment of them as a whole should be prohibited.

so why has PETA been so involved with this issue? why has the humane society not intervened? how come how come how come?????? well i can't speak on behalf of the humane society, because i really don't know why nothing has been done on behalf of this issue. maybe in their eyes it's not all that important, maybe they see it as an expendable issue; i don't know.

my point is that PETA sees it as an issue. an issue that is unfair and has to be dealt with. some people are saying that PETA breeds propaganda, and only attacks the really trendy issues, and that they are an extremist organization. and you know what, maybe they do tend to lean towards the MORE extreme situations, or atleast focus only on the EXTREME of the situations...but maybe that's just how they work. it obviously takes a little bit of graphicness to really get the public's attention, and sometimes that's what it takes to actually make a difference.

if they don't throw the worst of the situations at us, then we'll never really understand the extent of it.

and using celebrities as they're "spokespeople" is a totally legit way of being heard; what it comes down to is the idea that we have given celebrities a HUGE voice in society today, and so what if these organizations use these 'big names' to advertise their plight. celebs have a voice, and i applaud those of them who are actually using their influence to stand up for a cause. it's the exact same thing using people in the music industry as the spokespeople for the "aldo aids campaign; hear no, speak no, see no evil".

for some reason we listen to what these famous people have to say, and let's just be glad that there are still some of them out there in la-la-land who are still putting it to good use.

and i'll continue to aid PETA and do whatever a little silly person such as myself can do; i'm almost a vegatarian, (and even ordered my first vegetarian cookbook online) and even if it's only by word of mouth, i'll continuously try and express my point of view and stick up for our defenseless little friends...(the animals, that is!)

viva glam

well i saw her, was about ten feet away from her, so close i could almost taste her, er it...but alas this lil' gay boy didn't get to meet her. but i'll settle for seeing her up close rather than not seeing her at all, any ol' day of the silly week!! my plan was to show up at the mall (where she was autographing her mac cosmetics add to those of you who had purchased a mac product over the last week), and wave around a copy of her book, a playboy magazine with her on the cover from 1996, and my chihuahua (which she loves) and have her flock to ME...but it didn't exactly turn out that way...

she came, she saw, and she hosted the juno's!! and i must say, that i loved every second of it! i've alreay expressed the many reason's as to why i love this lady, (fun, talented, dedicated mother, tommy lee's ex) but there was something else in particular about this lady that was on everybody's lips that night.

i mentioned before her dedication to PETA, and well more recently there's been the issue of stephen harper going ahead with the killing of the seals. here's an exerpt from the miami post adressing the issue:

"Pamela Anderson is renewing calls for her homeland to end its East Coast seal hunt, reports The Associated Press.

Anderson, a native of British Columbia, said Saturday that she was disappointed Prime Minister Stephen Harper had refused her request for a meeting after Canada's annual Juno music awards shows on Sunday, which she was invited to host.

The refusal prompted the former Baywatch star to write Harper a letter warning that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals would escalate its efforts if Canada does not stop the annual seal harvest.

''When people think of Canadian Club, they should think of a good whiskey, not jerks beating pups on the ice,'' Anderson said at a news conference Saturday..."

now some people are upset that she used her "juno-host" status as a means of addressing the topic of concern and using it to her advantage to spread her opinion and do some prime minister bashing at the same time. and while i have to agree that it probably wasn't THE BEST place to voice an opinion, i stand behind her decision one hundred percent!!

she had to address it at some point during the evening, considering all the hype that's been surrounding the seal issue lately, and well...she's Pamela Anderson for crying out loud!!! of course it was bound to be a tad bit controversial!!! what did you expect?!?

in my opinion, the seal bashing is cruelty to animals PLAIN AND SIMPLE. i admire the work that she has been doing (and above all the work that PETA does), and no matter which way you look at it, it just isn't right! animals are animals, no matter what their purpose is, they were put on this earth for a reason and it is unethical for us to interrupt the natural course their lives are bound to take. end of discussion.

and the prime minister's absolute refussal to even MEET for a discussion, (in my eyes)makes him out to be completely and utterly guilty.

everyone who knows me knows that i'm a huge lover of animals, and if you are too you'll go to www.peta.org and atleast take a look around. maybe even sign up and make a difference.

(that may have sounded a little afterschool-specialish of me...but i couldn't help it!)

i will never be...

the boy with the perfect outfit, or the one who can wear white and not spill anything. i will never be the boy with the most patience, or the one with the most self-confidence. i will never be the student with the perfect grades, or the tallest one in the class. i will never have the most up-to-date style, or the newest belongings, and i will never have the most rockin' car that everyone's jealous of. every hair will never always be in place, and my new shoes will eventually get dirty and worn. i'll never have the best grammar, or never make spelling mistakes when i type...and my speech will sometimes slur (damn tongue ring) even when i'm not drunk.

i will always be...

the simple boy who loves his silly celebrity gossip, and who can't stop buying trashy magazines. i will always be the boy with big eyes and the slanted jaw line (à la brad pitt...or so i'd like to think) and i will always be slim and thin (heroin chic as i like to call it). i will always be the boy with the crazy taste in music, and the one who sings along to whatever tune's playing in my head! i will always twitch when i'm excited, and ask silly questions when i don't understand something. i will always spend too much money on things i don't really need, and have troubles saving...and i will always shop for clothes before i pay off my bills. i'll always be a little naive and gullible and fall for every trick in the book...and i'll always turn 10 shades of red when i get embarassed. i'll always love my puppies, and my friends, and i'll always be the boy who puts them first. i'll always have an addictive laugh and giggle at almost anything, and i'll always try and put a smile on your face when you're down. i'll always want more tattoos, and deny that i'm never satisfied cause it's just that i like being on the extreme side. i'll always be sexual, and flirt as often as i can...and i'll continue to believe in love, cause there's nothing like the feeling of falling...

and that's ok!!

pamela comes to hali

mizz anderson (and her breasteses) are coming to our fair little city this weekend, and i couldn't be more excited!! after suffering through many a roasts from friends and coleagues as to my reasons for loving yet another blonde bimbo, the only retort i could come up with is, atleast this time my love has found it's way to a 'canadian' bimbo... isn't that better??

no, i'm just kidding. pamela is the host for this years juno awards (an awards show i've normallly been less than interested in watching...) and they're taking place in...tada, HALIFAX!! apparently there's going to be a red-carpet affair, and well it goes without saying that i'll be there front and center!

i feel that i should probably elaborate on why a wee lil' gay boy such as myself would be so infatuated with a sexkitten such as pamela; well where to begin...

actually pamela and i have quite the history together. when i was straight (?) my mother bought my father a playboy for christmas, and being the curious kid that i was, i couldn't help but seek it out and gawk at the marvels that were pamela's assets. so i guess you could say that she was the first naked woman i ever layed eyes upon!

and i've never forgotten her!!

then there was the lurid sex tape that she made with then-husband tommy lee (worth a look, yet highly over-rated) and of course baywatch, and then VIP, and my personal favorite "barb wire" (a terrible so-bad-it's-good cult classic).

but some of the better reasons i love my pamela, involve her work for PETA, her love for chihuahua(s) and animals (and their rights) in general, and her bubblegum-read "star" chronicles!! that and her mariage to sweet sweet sexpot tommy lee...to be known from now on as god of sex.

in toto, she's a hot bitch and a talented lady (seriously) who's going to rock our lil' city as the hostess with the mostest of canada's music industries BIGGEST night.

i HAVE to meet her. how will i accomplish this task, you ask? well my plan is to bring harley (since she can't resist chihuahuas; she even married her golden retriever 'star' with her chihuahua 'luca') and wave around a copy of her book(s) and her late '90's playboy pictorial!

how could she resist?!?

panic! at the disco

new obsession time: this is a rockin new band who i have recently fell in love with. puzzled at the band's name, i inquired further only to be delightfully surprised at what i found.

blender magazine compared them to 'fallout boy', and i kinda think they sound like the new 'killers'. (whom i also love). they're a little new wave, with a little big of electro mixed in, and a whole lotta rock as the luscious cherry on top!

and the lead singer is hot...so you can't lose!!

Some bands spend their whole careers just hoping to produce an album as complex, cohesive and creative as A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Not Panic! At The Disco: They managed to get it right on the first try. Before you grab a cold washcloth, let's diagnose what caused A Fever.

It all started in the suburbs of Las Vegas when 12-year-old Ryan Ross asked his parents for a guitar for Christmas. Not to be outdone, neighborhood pal Spencer Smith begged his parents for a drum set so the duo could start jamming. "Really, from that first year [playing instruments], all we really did was cover Blink 182 songs," remembers Spencer, laughing. The band eventually matured, moved on from all the small things and recruited classmates Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie on bass and vocals, respectively (the hot one!!)

With the final lineup now in place, the newly christened Panic! At The Disco (from a line in the Name Taken song "Panic") started practicing in Spencer's grandmother's living room and began crafting the songs that would eventually make their way onto A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.

and the rest is history...or atleast will be when they get more popular!!

some noteworthy tracks:

a. i write sins not tragedies
b. the only difference between martyrdom and suicide is media coverage

and i guarentee you'll get a kick outta the names of the tracks...

check it out!

return of the blondes

well i recently bought the 3rd season of the simple life (it was on tv but i never got a chance to watch it) and i totally fell in love with those mischevious blondes all over again!! throughout the 16 episodes of season 3 the girls visited 16 different families and worked in 16 different places as interns in various businesses and offices. (ie hillarity was sure to ensue!!)

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have both been confirmed for The Simple Life 4, even though they’re not speaking to each other...apparently their going to be taking up the role of "wife and mother" to various families across the country throughout the show; basically playing into the whole 'fish out of water' scenario yet again! the title will be "the simple life 4; till death do us part" (something tells me the title had a previous meaning...that is until both the stars' engagements fell apart!!!) but nevertheless the show must go on!!

i guess this year's theme does sound a little promising! did you hear about nicole's embarassing moment recently? apparently she was caught (?) asking an 11 year old boy if he found her attractive...i guess you had to be there, but it had more to do with the 'language' she used to ask the question!!

you can only imagine...

i heart cartoons

me and the mel's went to see "curious george" last night, and let me just say we totally fell in love with that lil' monkey!! not only was it the cutest cartoon i've seen since 'chicken little', but it simply brought a huge smile to my face the whole time we were in the theater!

i mean, you can't help but be put in a good mood while watching it! if not from the cuteness of george, atleast from the soundtrack; which is made up completely of lovely and melodic jack johnson songs!

adults tend to ignore the appeal of cartoons these days. and that's just their first mistake, especially since much of the humor of 'cartoon movies' is directed at adults! i mean, come on some of the jokes in disney movies are aimed right at the elders!! and cartoons are fun to look at!! so what's the problem here?!?

so the next time disney or pixar or tim burton comes out with a new animated flick, don't pass it by without at least a little glance!! i guarantee it'll brighten up your day and make the world seem just a little bit funner!!

carlly n' joey become commissionaires

something crazy happened today; carlly (my lil' monchichi) and i received our official invitation to be commissionaires of oaths for the province of nova scotia.

we have been appointed as a commissioner for taking affidavits pursuant to the notaries and commissioners act, while employed with the province.

the above picture is us with our certificates. it's funny cause i've been here for almost 3 years, and i'm just now being sworn-in! but better late than never! actually, casuals (such as i) were never before permitted to enter into 'commissionaire-hood' before now, so it's a GIANT leap for casuals everywhere!

no longer will i have to look for someone to witness a signature for me! no longer will someoneELSE have to swear documents for me! i will soon have my own stamp to do such bidding for 'other casuals' everywhere!!

i'm just really excited to have my name on a stamp...exciting ain't it???

ace

this is ace young. the next american idol. according to me and to every other red blooded gay boy and teenage girl and lady (and a few sexually confused teenage boys too) in all the world!!

not only does he have the voice and face of an angel, but he's slick, suave and completely modest!! his body is rockin', and he has that je ne sais quoi of a star!

from the moment i saw him in his audition, i knew he was gonna rock it! just like i knew that fantasia was going to win during her season. and i'm sure if i had watched last season i would have been able to predict carrie's big win aswell! but sadly, i missed it!

shall we have another look?

i'm not necessarilly bragging about my 'being able to pick a winner' when it comes to novice singing competitions...but i seem to have a knack!! i guess you could say that i can recognize star quality when i see it! no, i'm just talking outta my ass!

but he's pretty to look at isn't he? i apologize if recently my blog has become more of a 'pretty boy shrine', but i just had to share my love for ace with the world.

so cross your fingers for ace and watch for him in the future. i guarantee you his face will be EVERYWHERE!!

go ace, go!!

abnormaly hot

so lately, i must admit to finding myself suffering from something a little off that's taken me by complete surprise (mentally) that is...i've been finding myself stragely drawn to hot dirty-looking boys! do you know what i mean?

here, let me draw you a picture: friday night at jamie's boyfriends birthday party there was a guy there who looked oddly familiar (but we'll not go there). he was about my height, with black rimmed nerd glasses, and medium brown hair. (normal so far). but with that pseudo-quasi-artsy-nerdy-doesn't take care of himself so much kinda feel...AND I WAS SO HOT FOR HIM!!!! seriously, though!!! that's crazy. i've always grouped those boys under the opposite of "the renoir" category. (ie nicer up close than from afar but still un-datable).

and now what??? i couldn't take my eyes off him!!! he was dressed very vintage rock star-ish, and he had super nice arms, and that 'fuck me in the back seat of my dirty van' look about him!!!

interesting...very interesting...

AND this morning on my way to work, i came across this guy who always walks by me(while i wait at the bus stop) and says good morning. now i never really even look twice, cause just like the guy described at the top of this entry, he was always a little unmentionable. (ie unkempt and undatable) although one day in the summer he did walk by me shirtless and i almost had to run home and change!!! but anyways, TODAY he did his normaly walk by (i hadn't seen him basically since ken doll and i started dating) and i was strangely drawn!! he has like the remnants of dreds, and that skater/smells like teen spirit look to him. (ie hot hotty hot in the language of a prostitot).

so what's coming over me? have i begun to stray from the normal "pretty boy" look to which i've become accustomed?? or are my tastes simply evolving? now don't get me wrong, i've dated almost all types and sizes...but never really this type...

hmmmm, i think i'm starting to like it!!

do you love it?

valentine

happy valentine's day lovers!!!! i know some of you may be saying to yourselves, 'blah blah blah, it's just another over-rated hallmark holiday...' but to you i say GET OVER IT!!! and get into it!! and enjoy it!!

i hope you all get a steamy kiss from that special someone, have a few cinnamon hearts during the day, and wear atleast one thing that's red!

enjoy some chocolates, and some snuggles, and make sure to ask that lil' someone to be your valentine...sure it's a silly little day, but it only comes once a year!!

have fun!

i heart jd

i'm sorry but is anybody else retardedly in love with jd fortune but me??? i just happened to stumble upon this pic of him kissing dave navarro (how hot is that?!?) and couldn't help but create my own personal "naive inner-workings" shrine to the pictou native-turned rock star!!

now i only watched a few episodes of inxs' search for a new front man, but as soon as jd's bad-boy/angel face graced this gay boy's television screen, i was SMITTEN!! the band announced tuesday a 12-city canadian arena tour starting may 7 in moncton, then moving to halifax, montreal, ottawa, toronto, kitchener ont, london...yada yada yada...main point of concern is that this hottie mc hot is going to be in our little metropolis soon!

operation find jd, officially set in motion.

the 32 year old was born in ontario, and moved to pictou county when he was 5, before moving back to ontario in his teens. he regards coming back home and playing with the band as the sign that he's officially 'made it'. although personally i think that he's giving nova scotia a little too much credit!! but far be it of me to judge! maybe life ain't that greener on the other side of canada! but it's always nice to feel liked, eh?

whenever i hear of someone as hot as jd coming to halifax, i kinda start to feel a little nervous; nervous more of what i'd do if i were ever to come face to face with them. and if my friends would have enough bail money to get me out if i 'accidentaly' lost control of my hormones and were to accost them in an unsidely manner...ahem...not like i'd ever do something like that...

ghosts

do you believe in relationship ghosts? for example it doesn't matter how big or small the area you live in, but once or twice in your life you're GUARANTEED to run into a relationship ghost (an ex/someone you slept with/fooled around with...) at precisely the wrong moment in time.

do you know what i mean? it's like there's an alarm that goes off that only an ex can hear, that tells them to pop up out of the blue with the sole purpose of throwing you for a loop!

it could be a bad time emotionally, or at just a moment where you're feeling a little vulnerable, or at a time when you're feeling a little lonely! but whatever the reason, you're guaranteed to feel worse after you see them!

running into an ex is always tricky, that goes without saying! you can think you're completely over the person (although who ever really gets over it?!?) and the moment you see them (whether for the first time, or simply the first time in a while) it's never a good feeling!

you know you've seen a relationship ghost when you turn white at the sight of them! your stomach does a little flip (and not in the way it used to) and you take like two steps back (in the wrong direction) in your head! that's when you know you've seen a relationship ghost!

do you think we ever give up the ghost? i mean, do we ever really get over the feelings we once had for an ex? or do we simply forget about them. we all know the eternal proverb (sorta proverb) about time healing all wounds...but does it ever really mend them?

i think that's certainly something that's specific to the individual and to the relationship. that's one thing i've learned so far about relationships; they're kinda like diamonds (puke, i know) for each one is unique.

well here's a pic of my anything but ex ken doll: i promised christina i'd post one. and thanks to michelle for the pic at the top!!
