back 2 da burbs

well this isn't an exact representation of my new neighbourhood...but you get the idea, right?

yes kiddies, i have moved (back) to the suburbs; land of the condo and the mini mall. sad, but true!

now stop laughing...there is a reason why i decided to sign up for 3 months of punishment; i have to take 2 silly summer courses before i can go to school in the states in september, so before i could pay for them i need to save some mad moola...hence the moving into my parents basement where the rent is free and the food is aplenty!!

so it ain't all bad!

PLUS the pool is opening in t-minus 2 weeks and 1 day (can you tell i'm a little excited?) so i'll be able to return to my fish-status soon and start living underwater like i do most summers!!

poor me, eh?

but it's not the city...i miss the noise, the traffic, the group-home girls smoking on my stairs...well, i guess not the last part!!

but the suburbs do have their perks; good looking people, (half naked good looking joggers due to the overwhelming walking trails in the area), lots of puppies, lots of places to go walking, and lots of peace and quiet!

true i may not be able to walk out my door and hail a cab, or have wild parties till the wee hours of the morning and not have the neighbours yell at me, or have a 24 hr pizza place just down the street...

BUT i can go for a swim practically in my own backyard, and i am in walking distance to "the copper penny" (you know you love it)...

so there!

right now i'm sorta living out of a box...which i hate, by the way...it's kinda like being on a bad road trip; you know the destination will make the trip worth it, but having to spend every day with the same two people in a small enclosed area might start to drive you crazy...

promiscuous

this picture doesn't really have anything in particular to what i'm going to post about, but i thought what the hell you can't go wrong with a hot photo of mr beckham!!

i was on the phone with christina last night, and we were discussing the fact that i'm moving home this weekend. and besides bringing a tear to my eye whenever i think about giving up my freedom, it also got me thinking about the way life used to be underneath my parent's roof.

my mom brought me a coffee when she came over to pick up some of my stuff the other day, and when i told her that i wanted a large, black, with 3 sugars...she gasped, and said "3 sugars is too much...i'm only getting you 2..."

HELLO, i'm 25 freakin' years old...i think i can decide how much sugar to put in my coffee!?!

but it's these kind of things that i'm not looking forward to! i'm not a quiet person anymore; in the morning, after work, or even when on the phone...and i'm not looking forward to having to start being!!

i know they're going to be upstairs...blah, blah, blah...but they're still going to be THERE!!

i'm not looking forward to being hung over and around the parentals...

and how am i to continue my promiscuous nature with the parents upstairs???

well it wouldn't be the first time i slept with a boy with them in the house...or in their bed, for that matter!!

might as well finish the entry with another hot photo the same way it started!!

enjoy!

without

my oh my...so much has been happening over the past few months, that it's begun to make my head spin. wow, is this what adult hood is going to be like?

i must say that 25 is off to a rockin'/rocky start...depending on the day, i guess. it's come to my attention lately that life, or else the life to which i've become accustomed to, is quickly changing; first of all i'm picking up and leaving the first true apartment that i've ever lived in that actually felt like home; true it's my second place...but it's technically the only home that jet's ever known. i'm moving back to my parent's place during the next week (in an effort to save up a little bit of money before i leave for school in september.)

my first apartment was lovely, but i wasn't old enough or mature enough then to even really appreciate it. that and i was forced to leave against my will (don't worry harley, you were worth every gut-wrenching second of that war!!) but my place on robie street, actually felt like my own! it wasn't much, but there were a lot of good memories there. bringing jet home, for one...and also, that place was the home base for my most important and loving relationship so far...he and i had many a time in that apartment...if those walls could talk!

but walking around in it this weekend, it suddenly occured to me just how much i'll miss it...

going back to live with mom and dad is the more responsible thing to do; i need to save money to take those silly summer courses...and when you think about it, it wouldn't hurt my future financial situation to actually SAVE a few pennies to go away with... hopefully the hot gay lifeguard from last year will be at the pool again this summer...if so, things are lookin' up!!!

but anyone who has ever moved BACK in with their parents after living alone for so long (as i will be doing) knows that at the time (whether the more mature decision or not) feels like a step back. i'm giving up my independance and becoming a border again...well at least that's how it feels...i've built quite the little life here in the city for myself and my furry little friends, and i never realized just how much giving it up would mean...

the other thing on my mind, and the one that brings a little tear to my eyes, is that in a few months, i'll be moving away...AWAY, away...not just to clayton park this time, but to another country! true, it's only a 6-8 hour drive away...but it's still AWAY...

i've seen other friends pick up and go...eilish and christina to name a few...and it's been hard. you get used to having these people around every day (like in highschool) and then one day before you know it, you find yourself wishing you hadn't taken the luxury of having them so close for granted...

at least when it was them who were leaving, i always knew that it was going to be harder for them; they were moving somewhere else, not me...they were the ones who had to adjust to another lifestyle...all i had to do was adjust to missing them...nothing else was really going to change. i was still here, doing the same job, coming home to the same apartment, living the same routine.

now, the tables are turning...and i'm a little scared.

will i be able to do it? will i be able to adjust? will i make new friends? sooo many questions, and sooo much uncertainty.

i know in my heart that i'll be ok...but this is the first time in my entire life, where i'll have no one to count on but myself...

i guess that's what growing up is all about, eh?

the way to a better orgasm by pamela anderson

"Pamela Anderson is urging fans to spice up their sex lives by turning vegetarian.

To mark National Orgasm Day in America on Sunday, the blonde babe hailed her healthy diet for her fabulous sex life.

She said: "For your best orgasm ever, go vegetarian."

In support of Pamela's claims, a People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) spokeswoman insists: "Because meat clogs arteries going not just to your heart but other vital organs, the best sex tip is to go veggie."

hopefully this will further the debate on why to go vegetarian, instead of grossing everyone out...but once again, it's my blog and i'll write what i want!!! but what i wanted to add to this is that since i've stopped eating meat, my libido has been off the hook!!!!! i'm serious!! i find my sex drive has increased by 10-fold! and considering it was already pretty fuckin' high, that just goes to show!!

honestly, i can't keep my hands out of my pants!!! if only there was someone else's hands around to put down my pants, then i'd be all set...

i don't know what it is; i'm always horny, i'm constantly in the mood, and i find everything more sensual than it was before!! simply eating a delicious meal can invoke feelings of lust!

it's cRaZy i tell you!! CrAzY!!!

kapoomkaloped

that's the term we coined to describe the night we had on saturday! it's actually a bahama (bohemian?) term signifying the state of drunkenness to which we were no strangers this weekend!

and actually, we would never have heard this term if our own long lost bahama mama mima hadn't RETURNED TO US UNEXPECTEDLY AND SURPRISED US ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

that little devil.

all in all it was a fantabulous weekend; dinner with the parentals on friday night at il mercato (my new favorite restaurant, hot waiters too), followed by homemade cake, wine and presents at their place. saturday was a day of running around and then decorating in preparation for the birthday bash that was to happen later on. i was picked up by renee and my chrissy boots (fresh from ontario) and brought to dinner at the fireside, where we gourged ourselves on martinis, i mean dinner!! then we went back to my place and had a rockin' party (thank you all for coming!! all 40 of you...my poor apartment!!) from which we went downtown...and drank...and drank...and drank...

i don't really remember coming home, or where i got my veggie pizza from...or why i thought it was a good idea to ask random hot boys to take their shirts off for me so i could take their pictures (but i did enjoy finding them in my roll of film once developed...mmm...)

only thing i can do is blame the hypnotiq...gotta love those naughty hypnotiq's!!

thanks again for a wonderful 25th people!!! it was definitely one for the books!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARLEY!!!!

today my first born turns 3!!!!! hard to believe that my lil' baby is growing up so quickly, eh?? i remember when he was just a pup, sleeping on the back of my neck at night, and never leaving my side when we were out!!

i even remember the night i brought him home from the pet store, i knew my life would never be the same! (for the better of course!!)

so join me in a happy birthday chorus for my lil' harls!!

he starts college next fall, eh??

butt out

today marks my ONE year aniversary of the day i OFFICIALLY quit smoking!!!! isn't that exciting??? it was may 10th, 2005 that i finally ditched that nasty habit...not on my own however. i enlisted the help of a certain doctor parsons...miracle worker/hypnotist!!

i know i've written before about my hypnotist experience, so i won't go into detail about it again, for fear of boring my devote readers. but in all honesty i'm still in total awe of the whole experience!

i went into the appointment after smoking like a chimney in new york for a week, a total skeptic, and not exactly knowing what to expect. a little concerned, a little worried, and totally on guard...

BUT with the help of an open mind and a determined will, i walked out of that office a non-smoker!! 15 minutes later, my life was changed for the better!!

i just didn't understand how you could overcome a physical addiction with mere suggestions. i still don't really understand how it works!! but it just goes to show that it's totally possible to kick that bad habit, as long as it's in your heart.

i had been smoking on and off (more on than off) since i was 16 years old....i had my first one after i started working at the movie theater, and then when i turned 19 it was downhill from there. back then you could smoke anywhere in bars, and it was hard to get away from. hence why it was so hard for someone trying to quit/cut down!!

so for anyone out there reading this, and who's contemplating quitting, make sure you're ready (cause if you're not then it's bound to be PURE TORTURE!!) and be ready for a change in lifestyle both mental and physical.

it's probably the toughest thing you'll ever have to do, but it's possible! there are many many 'stop smoking' things on the market today (and i've tried them all!!) but if you can get in to see you're family doctor, ask him about hypnotism...in canada it's covered my msi (so it's completely free) and it fuckin' works!!!

what have you got to lose?

NOTHING!! that's what! there's only GAIN here people!!

there's no price on life!! enjoy it!

countdown to fun!!!

may has always been a BIG month...monumental, even...colossal? maybe. but definitely BIG!!!

allow me to give you a little rundown: there's my birthday, of course!! (hey, it's the one day of the year where i can officially be selfish and totally get away with it, so leave me alone!)

don't forget about tattoo day on the 11th!! eeeeeeeep!! and my 1 year anniversary of the day i quit smoking on the 10th. (hence the congratulatory tattoo i'm giving myself!!)

mother's day, the 14th (ie the day we celebrate the women who brought us into this sweet sweet world! so go out and buy some silly flowers you gooses!!)

france's birthday, the 14th aswell (and although she won't be here to celebrate it with us, or rather WE won't be THERE to celebrate it with her, let's hope she'll have a drink for us...wait, a VIRGIN COCKTAIL for us...WE'LL have a drink for you...don't worry, we'll do enough drinking for you lil miss preggo!! xoxo)

harley's birthday, the 16th (my lil sweet turns 3 this year...hard to believe he came into my life almost 3 years ago!! he starts college in the fall, eh?)

christina and melanie's birthdays, the 20th (and both will be here to celebrate this year, unlike last year where miss chrissy boots was elsewhere. can you say boozefest in three different languages like i can??)

i believe that's it. and trust me, that's enough!! my liver is hating me already.

13

well we all know that i'm beyond help when it comes to my tattoo addiction. (7 and counting...) but whatever! i have an appointment to get my new one in exactly one week (the 11th of may, just before my 25th birthday and a day after my one year anniversary of the day i quit smoking!! ie my little present to myself on my special day!!)

now i was (almost) all set on the design that you'll see pictured below...that is, until i laid eyes on the baby at the top of the page. and i'm not referring to the sexy pipes that you see!! i'm ACTUALLY referring to his AMAZING tattoo that i fell in love with and haven't stopped staring at all day, while i should be doing my work!!

this is the tribal slash design that i was (originally) sold on...

in case you're puzzling over why i would want a tattoo stretched across my back that says "lucky thirteen", it's because i was born on the 13th day (of may) and it has ALWAYS been my lucky number.

13 has always been a lucky number to me. i even turned 13 on friday the 13th, and i've always used 13 as my number of choice, whenever asked for one randomly!!

i feel so torn...what to do?? what to do??

i ask you fellow reader(s), leave me your comments/opinions on which you like better.

feel free to factor in the hot physique of the boy in the picture if it floats your boat too.

eat your goddamn greens!!!

well this week marks my first official week of vegetarianism!! woo hoo!! officially no more carcuss for this lil' guy!! and i must say, so far so good!

it's been a long time coming, i guess! for the past 6 months or so the only meat i've consumed has been chicken. chicken and i have had a long standing intimate relationship for the majority of my existence...but i knew it was time to say good bye!

i held on for a little too long i think, mainly due to a fear of not receiving enough protein in my diet thusly resulting in a loss of weight...and for someone of my calibur/genetic make-up, losing weight could be a tad bit disastrous!!

but alas, it got to the point where every time i took a bite my feelings of guilt grew stronger and stronger. i seriously couldn't do it anymore.

that's when i was introduced to my new boyfriend; mr. vegetarianism!! it's getting serious...i think i'm in love!!!!

my vegetarian starter kit arrived yesterday from goveg.com/peta.org and it's packed with wonderful trivia and random celebrity quotes explaining why they chose to go veg, not to mention the 6 pages of colorful vegetarian recipes/substitutes to the many many 'now considered evil' meaty meals to which we had become accustomed as newly-ex-carnivores!!

how excited am i to get cooking??? VERRRRRY!!! let's just say trips to the grocery store have a whole new meaning!!

AND, i've even found a meat-free alternative to my usual friday night indulgence of chicken fingers and fries!!

this little gay vegetarian is very happy!!

wish me luck!!

loves the becks

you know how much of a whore i can be for a hot pair of sunglasses...and well you know how much of a whore i can be for david beckham and anything beckham related...now put the two together in one juicy add for 'police eyewear' and i'm already coming in my chinos!!

does he get hotter as the days go by, or is it just me? it's funny the way i feel towards the becks; cause i wasn't totally thrown by him when he first appeared on the scene. i mean, he was built and adonis-like in his sporty little 'football' shorts, but i just didn't quite understand all the hoop-la.

and it wasn't until he jetsetted his way to superstardom as a hunky hunky tattooed, stylish, and metrosexual british icon that i got aboard the beckham train!! then he married posh spice, and we know how coo-coo i am for my spices...and started naming his kids all kinds of hot names (brooklyn, romeo, cruz...i'm even thinking of naming my next dog 'cruz').

i even had a david beckham hair cut, and not just the faux-hawk that he seems to have coined as his own, but when he had a BLONDE hawk...actually it was really just a blonde stripe painted down the center of my head...but i copied it off of david himself!!

all in all, he's def on my list of favourites!! and he definitely gets hotter with time! fatherhood hasn't made this man soft...

and how hot is the missus these days?? it's hard to believe that 3 kids popped outta that itsy bitsy figure!!

let's just say that they're going to have BEAUTIFUL babies...you know, when they grow up...

my internet boyfriend

this is shan parker. i came across his blog one day whilst perusing the internet, and have been reading it every day since! sometimes two or three times per day!!

i love it.

i sent him the link to my blog, and i'm now hoping he doesn't read it on a normal basis, cause if he sees this entry i'll be a little embaressed!!

but hell, he should be happy that i'm writing about him cause it's free press for his site!!

www.blurbology.com

check it out, i think you'll be impressed!! blog's are funny in this way; you can stumble across one that interests you and before you know it you start tuning in every day to learn the intimate details of the author's life! you can even start to read about their friends and start going to THEIR blog's!! it's a neverending cycle, i tell you!

i'm totally into shan and his blog!! it's like a soap that i can't turn off!! recently he got in a fight with his (other) boyfriend (ie the real one) and i felt myself caring about the outcome!!

how could this be? is it possible to get so caught up in a stranger's writings that you find yourself almost caring for them?!? too funny really!!

he's this wonderful boy from indianapolis, who works for somesort of computer webdesign company. i was originally drawn to his site by his witty réparté and comedic banters/rants about the world he lives in. he's just a simple lad, such as myself, trying to make it in this crazy place and bringing us all along for the ride!

that and he's hot!!

i wonder if there's someone out there who i don't know that reads MY blog and follows the vicarious things that i do religiously??

if you're out there...reveal yourself!!! i don't get nearly enough comments from my readers.

and fyi, even if you don't have a blog you can comment anonimously (but be sure to sign it...no one likes a tease!!)

da club

i've seen this logo more often lately than i care to admit. and why would i be staring into da club so much you ask? well the answer to that is the source of my frustration these days.

i felt the need to adress my obsession to my readers, mainly for the satisfaction of my own selfish needs...but hey, it's my blog and not yours so there!!

but also, cause he's been on my mind (not to mention my lips) a lot lately...and i'm figuring that maybe putting it on paper, er on computer will make it better. oh,well...here goes;

have you ever met/seen someone and had them affect you in such a manner where they're all you can think about, and you find yourself doing abnormal things just to get their attention, (like hanging out in the mall relentlessly on your lunch hour in hopes of seeing them or of having them see you) and you fool yourself into thinking that if you put yourself out there just a little bit more then maybe, just MAYBE, they'll magically fall in love with you and you'll live happily ever after!!!

it all started one friday afternoon when cm boy stepped into my office and asked about me to one of my co workers. i then started this dance in front of the store hoping to meet him. which of course didn't work. then one saturday night the introduction happened, and digits were exchanged, and one little blonde boy woke up with a ray of hope and excitement across his face.

BUT, to no avail the phone did not ring...nor did it the next day, or the day after that. however, each time i run into this beautiful character, flirts are made and kisses exchanged. even pictures are taken, and dances are had.

SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM????? this is why it's more frustrating than anything else. i think the reason i'm so hung up over this is that i feel that there's more to happen between him and i...and i keep doing this little dance because i'm trying to MAKE something happen.

but anyone who's ever tried to MAKE something happen, relationship wise, knows that it's impossible to force the stars to allign (in your favor) and make two people fall in love. it always happens when you least expect it, and when you're not looking for it.

i think i'm so crazy about it right now because, and i'm not trying to sound cocky or anything, but i don't normally go after something if i don't already think that it's within my reach. do you know what i mean? i'm not saying i don't take risks, but if i want something, i find a way to get it. in relationships and in life in general. if i want a rediculously expensive top, i find a way to buy it. no matter the cost, or repercussions on my credit limit!!

so what is there to do?? i can't stand just going out every week and TRYING relentlessly to force someone to fall for me...it's just not going to happen! and above all it's unhealthy...especially since i'm seeing someone ELSE!!

naughty, naughty, naughty...amanda, i think we're rubbing off on eachother a little too much!!!

*sigh*

it's hard being this bad...

33 things you may or may not know about me...

1. i'm a taurus, to the core through and through, stubborn, passionate, and loving!

2. i have 7 tattoos, and counting. i could totally look at tattoo's all day long...i think i may have missed my calling!

3. when i get home from work every day i get down on all fours and roll around with my dogs like a retard on the floor while making silly noises as they lick my face and go crazy!!

4. i can be much more quiet than i appear; during the week i love nothing more than coming home from work, going for a walk with my dogs, making a big dinner, doing my dishes, making a lunch, and sitting down with a big bowl of popcorn and watching sex and the city till it's time to go to bed. in other words, i'm quite boring from monday to thursday!

5. my friends are my life, and i couldn't do without them. it's as simple as that.

6. i always have music on in my apartment, from the second i wake up to the moment i go to bed.

7. i know the words to 99.9% of the songs played on c100 fm at any given day...no joke.

8. i eat pickles from the jar, and finish off a huge jar of vlasic zesty pickles about every week.

9. i eat a ginormous bowl of garlic laced popcorn all to myself, every night of the week.

10. the only bone i've ever broken was my nose, and it was when i went up a slide backwards (i was a kid, come on!!) and smashed into the metal bar at the top...ouch.

11. i got a seashell stuck in my foot while i was in florida and had to spend an arm and a leg having it removed at the hospital in orlando!!

12. i used to think that i would grow up and go to university in transylvania...i was a bit of a goth back then...imagine, eh?

13. the first guy i REMEMBER having sex with was the british surgeon/bodybuiler/dj- on-the-side in the parking garage outside reflections...classy, eh? there were some befor him, but i don't remember who they were...seriously...

14. i've drank enough booze, and done enough drugs to kill an army of twenty-something frat boys with roofie perscriptions on prom night at an all-girl catholic school...who are horny...and the girls are easy.

15. i stopped playing the saxophone because i didn't like the taste of 'wood' in my mouth...ironic, isn't it?

16. i'm absolutely, completely, 100%, TERRIFIED of snakes...i can't even look at a picture of one. i wouldn't ever hold one even for a million dollars...i'm not even joking.

17. i fear monotany.

18. i believe in love at first sight, yet have never experienced it.

19. my favorite thing to do when i get home on a friday evening after work is to stand up in my kitchen with the curtain open, eating pickles out of the jar, while perusing "the coast" and dreaming about the weekend ahead....and occasionally looking out the window and flashing the neighbors!

20. i'm in love with my sex toy.

21. i've been both a top and a bottom.

22. i'm probably the most paranoid person you'll ever meet. if you only knew the things i do when i'm alone out of sheer neuroses, or how many times a day i 'knock on wood' just to guarantee good karma!

23. i'm extremely superstitious. about everything. about how i go about my day, about seeing a black cat cross my path, about seeing a single crow fly by, about stepping on cracks in the sidewalk, about doing activities the EXACT SAME way every day to guarantee good luck...just to name a few.

24. i'm terrified about developing an obsessive compulsive disorder. i check the stove all the time to make sure it's turned off, check my doors to make sure they're locked at night all the time, make sure i don't leave the toaster plugged in when i leave the house in the morning so a fire doesn't break out, checking the door constantly to make sure i didn't leave my keys in it.

25. i sometimes allow things i can't control to bother me; like the weather etc. but i'm trying to let these things go, and not sweat the small stuff!

26. 25 was my scary age...however i'll come face to face with it in a few weeks.

27. i'm easy, in all ways possible; easy to please, easy to amuse, easy to lay, easy to impress, easy to entertain, easy to dazzle...you get the idea!

28. i have a deep and profound respect for this earth and everything on it, and everything natural it produces, and would never take something on it for granted.

29. i love alcohol...love, love, LOVE alcohol!! vodka to be more exact! i have a small fear of someday becoming an alcoholic, but try and keep my booze hound ways strictly reserved for the weekends. but come friday afternoon i can't help myself. but i figure i don't smoke anymore or do drugs, so one wee little crutch ain't so bad, right?

30. i used to be straight. i didn't actually come out till i was 19. and even then it was a gradual progression, like there wasn't a day when i 'CAME OUT' to everyone in my life. i've slept with girls before, and even dated a few. but deep down i always knew. i remember everytime i started seeing a new girl, i would become struck with this strange fear...i eventually came to the realization that this fear was one based on the fact that someday *soon* i might actually have to...gulp...sleep with her!!

31. i love extremes, and i live my life by them. i like extreme clothing, extreme hair styles, extreme trends...everything EXTREME!! the more wild and crazy the better! a conservative way of life, is a boring way of life!

32. i have a fear of ending up like my father.

33. i'm a hippy at heart. peace, love, and happiness...all the way baby!! i'm the love child of a hippy relationship who was conceived in jamaica...can't you tell?

uproar

recently my interest in PETA and it's fight against the seal hunt in canada has sparked a bit of controversy amongst my readers, and i now feel the need to strengthen my opinion and speak openly a little more about why i support their causes.

below is PETA's mission statement for a starter:

"People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than a million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment.

PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.

PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns."

so basically what this is saying is that this group is against ANY and ALL unethical treatment of animals, no matter how large, small, or unimportant the particular species of animal may appear.

many people have said that the seals that they're slaughtering on the ice are overpopulated, and that they're not killing the baby seals, and that they really play no useful role in the animal kingdom...so that makes it ok, right?

WRONG

in my opinion, (and from what i've read on PETA's site) it doesn't matter what role these animals play, or how important they are to us as a race, or how cute or cuddly they are...they're animals, and any mistreatment of them as a whole should be prohibited.

so why has PETA been so involved with this issue? why has the humane society not intervened? how come how come how come?????? well i can't speak on behalf of the humane society, because i really don't know why nothing has been done on behalf of this issue. maybe in their eyes it's not all that important, maybe they see it as an expendable issue; i don't know.

my point is that PETA sees it as an issue. an issue that is unfair and has to be dealt with. some people are saying that PETA breeds propaganda, and only attacks the really trendy issues, and that they are an extremist organization. and you know what, maybe they do tend to lean towards the MORE extreme situations, or atleast focus only on the EXTREME of the situations...but maybe that's just how they work. it obviously takes a little bit of graphicness to really get the public's attention, and sometimes that's what it takes to actually make a difference.

if they don't throw the worst of the situations at us, then we'll never really understand the extent of it.

and using celebrities as they're "spokespeople" is a totally legit way of being heard; what it comes down to is the idea that we have given celebrities a HUGE voice in society today, and so what if these organizations use these 'big names' to advertise their plight. celebs have a voice, and i applaud those of them who are actually using their influence to stand up for a cause. it's the exact same thing using people in the music industry as the spokespeople for the "aldo aids campaign; hear no, speak no, see no evil".

for some reason we listen to what these famous people have to say, and let's just be glad that there are still some of them out there in la-la-land who are still putting it to good use.

and i'll continue to aid PETA and do whatever a little silly person such as myself can do; i'm almost a vegatarian, (and even ordered my first vegetarian cookbook online) and even if it's only by word of mouth, i'll continuously try and express my point of view and stick up for our defenseless little friends...(the animals, that is!)

viva glam

well i saw her, was about ten feet away from her, so close i could almost taste her, er it...but alas this lil' gay boy didn't get to meet her. but i'll settle for seeing her up close rather than not seeing her at all, any ol' day of the silly week!! my plan was to show up at the mall (where she was autographing her mac cosmetics add to those of you who had purchased a mac product over the last week), and wave around a copy of her book, a playboy magazine with her on the cover from 1996, and my chihuahua (which she loves) and have her flock to ME...but it didn't exactly turn out that way...

she came, she saw, and she hosted the juno's!! and i must say, that i loved every second of it! i've alreay expressed the many reason's as to why i love this lady, (fun, talented, dedicated mother, tommy lee's ex) but there was something else in particular about this lady that was on everybody's lips that night.

i mentioned before her dedication to PETA, and well more recently there's been the issue of stephen harper going ahead with the killing of the seals. here's an exerpt from the miami post adressing the issue:

"Pamela Anderson is renewing calls for her homeland to end its East Coast seal hunt, reports The Associated Press.

Anderson, a native of British Columbia, said Saturday that she was disappointed Prime Minister Stephen Harper had refused her request for a meeting after Canada's annual Juno music awards shows on Sunday, which she was invited to host.

The refusal prompted the former Baywatch star to write Harper a letter warning that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals would escalate its efforts if Canada does not stop the annual seal harvest.

''When people think of Canadian Club, they should think of a good whiskey, not jerks beating pups on the ice,'' Anderson said at a news conference Saturday..."

now some people are upset that she used her "juno-host" status as a means of addressing the topic of concern and using it to her advantage to spread her opinion and do some prime minister bashing at the same time. and while i have to agree that it probably wasn't THE BEST place to voice an opinion, i stand behind her decision one hundred percent!!

she had to address it at some point during the evening, considering all the hype that's been surrounding the seal issue lately, and well...she's Pamela Anderson for crying out loud!!! of course it was bound to be a tad bit controversial!!! what did you expect?!?

in my opinion, the seal bashing is cruelty to animals PLAIN AND SIMPLE. i admire the work that she has been doing (and above all the work that PETA does), and no matter which way you look at it, it just isn't right! animals are animals, no matter what their purpose is, they were put on this earth for a reason and it is unethical for us to interrupt the natural course their lives are bound to take. end of discussion.

and the prime minister's absolute refussal to even MEET for a discussion, (in my eyes)makes him out to be completely and utterly guilty.

everyone who knows me knows that i'm a huge lover of animals, and if you are too you'll go to www.peta.org and atleast take a look around. maybe even sign up and make a difference.

(that may have sounded a little afterschool-specialish of me...but i couldn't help it!)

i will never be...

the boy with the perfect outfit, or the one who can wear white and not spill anything. i will never be the boy with the most patience, or the one with the most self-confidence. i will never be the student with the perfect grades, or the tallest one in the class. i will never have the most up-to-date style, or the newest belongings, and i will never have the most rockin' car that everyone's jealous of. every hair will never always be in place, and my new shoes will eventually get dirty and worn. i'll never have the best grammar, or never make spelling mistakes when i type...and my speech will sometimes slur (damn tongue ring) even when i'm not drunk.

i will always be...

the simple boy who loves his silly celebrity gossip, and who can't stop buying trashy magazines. i will always be the boy with big eyes and the slanted jaw line (à la brad pitt...or so i'd like to think) and i will always be slim and thin (heroin chic as i like to call it). i will always be the boy with the crazy taste in music, and the one who sings along to whatever tune's playing in my head! i will always twitch when i'm excited, and ask silly questions when i don't understand something. i will always spend too much money on things i don't really need, and have troubles saving...and i will always shop for clothes before i pay off my bills. i'll always be a little naive and gullible and fall for every trick in the book...and i'll always turn 10 shades of red when i get embarassed. i'll always love my puppies, and my friends, and i'll always be the boy who puts them first. i'll always have an addictive laugh and giggle at almost anything, and i'll always try and put a smile on your face when you're down. i'll always want more tattoos, and deny that i'm never satisfied cause it's just that i like being on the extreme side. i'll always be sexual, and flirt as often as i can...and i'll continue to believe in love, cause there's nothing like the feeling of falling...

and that's ok!!
